UPWARD OPENS FIRST CLASSROOM ON CAMPUS SINCE THE START OF THE PANDEMIC < Return to News
We are pleased to announce that on Monday, September 14th, UPWARD reopened one of the classrooms in our Private Day School. The classroom is home to our highest functioning and least medically fragile children.
Education Director Angelia Fugatt said, “As a part of the reopening process we consulted with medical experts, followed benchmarks set by the Governor’s office, and worked closely with the school districts and families. We are very excited to take this very important first step to getting our students back on campus for in-person learning.”
UPWARD is one of the oldest nonprofit organizations in Arizona serving children with special needs, founded in 1958. We continue to carry out our Mission of ‘Bringing Hope and Joy to the Children We Serve’.
