Chief Executive Officer Doug Carter has over 20 years’ executive nonprofit experience serving as Vice President with both the Milwaukee and Boston YMCA’s as well as CEO of Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery.  Doug has been at UPWARD since 2011 and led the 4 million dollar Capital Campaign that resulted in a Campus Expansion Project that added 20,000 square feet and new and expanded programs.  Doug holds a B.A. in Political Science from Alcorn State University and M.S. in Management from Cardinal Stritch University. ___________________________________________________ Madeline Goodman, M.Ed. Director of Educational Programs Madeline has 13 years of educational experience. She has worked in many facets of education from being an assistant teacher and substitute teacher to leading her own classroom and coaching other teachers as they develop their own educational practice. Madeline is new to UPWARD this year. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University and she has her Master’s Degree in Montessori Education from Loyola University in Maryland. She has her Arizona Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education. ___________________________________________________ Elana Mastov RN M.I.S.E. Director of Health Services Elana Mastov has over 22 years’ experience in the medical field and over 12 years in Pediatric And Adult Nursing. Elana has been at UPWARD since 2015. She holds a Nursing Degree from Eastern Arizona College and a Master’s degree in Industrial and System Engineering from Tashkent Polytechnic University.
